Late Arrival Policy

 

Effective: MAY 1, 2024

  

If a patient is running late, it is expected that the patient calls to make sure they can still be seen.  We will make every attempt to accommodate the patient in these instances. A grace period of 8 minutes will be allowed for unforeseen delays a patient may encounter while travelling to their appointment if they have not called ahead of time. If a patient arrives more than 8 minutes late for their appointment, the patient will be given the option of rescheduling to a later time in the day (if the schedule allows) or rescheduling to a later date. This process will make sure patients that do arrive on time are seen in a timely manner.

 

Patients who consistently arrive late and are still getting in the same day may be offered to reschedule on a different day only.

 

To help our patients remember their appointments, a reminder text or email can be sent prior to the patient’s scheduled appointment. The patient is responsible for cancelling or rescheduling the appointment if they are unable to make the appointment.

 

If the patient’s phone is out of service or not receiving calls, the patient is still responsible for keeping the scheduled appointment or getting in contact with the office to reschedule the appointment.
